Musk’s Influence During His Time As CEO

During his time as CEO since taking over in October 2022, Musk has made significant changes such as firing members of the executive team and phasing out the legacy verification system in favor of various paid checkmarks. He also impacted Dogecoin (DOGE) prices by changing Twitter’s logo to its dog symbol and caused Milady nonfungible tokens (NFTs) prices to surge after tweeting a meme of an NFT.

Musk’s Plans For The Platform

Musk has said his “top priority” for Twitter is cutting down on cryptocurrency scam tweets which have been increasing lately due to volatile market conditions. He also wants to transform the platform into what he calls “X, the everything app” which would serve as an all-in-one hub for multiple services such as video streaming or gaming.

It remains to be seen how Linda Yaccarino will handle her new role at Twitter but she certainly has big shoes to fill following Elon Musk’s tenure at the company. With her vast experience in advertising and partnerships at NBCUniversal combined with Musk’s ambitions for X, it looks like we can expect some exciting new developments from Twitter in the near future!
